I just saw Lynette's pictures. I still have this hangover from the reunion. No intention of getting rid of this feeling soon. Fact is,Yollie's mattress is still on the floor, untouched, left the way she made it. My daybed was purposely placed in the corner of my room for extra sleeping space( for the reunion )with the intention of dismantling and putting it away in the garage for future use or for charity. It will stay for a while.

I will treasure the little memento Guia gave each one of us. Guia, you're the sweetest and the most unassuming person I've ever known, to say the least. Yollie: something tells me we think the same. We know what we want and enjoy the simple things that are taken for granted. Cakes, flowers, gardening, the things that surrounds us. Of all places, Utah! To see and experience Utah is to appreciate another wonder of nature. A site to behold, what more to live in it. Loida: your laugh is contagious. I wish I had your sense of humour. You do have that drawing power when you speak. One great survivor. Ira: there is this invisible string that connects our families. By the way, your skin... flawless. So now, there's an addition to your beautiful features. Vicky: spoke little but my God, words of wisdom indeed! I love the transformation. Lynette: What sacrifice! Talk about labor of love. Thank you for a job very well done. Nora: Like it or not, we're bonded. And there's no getting away from that. And to my dear distant relative Bela: your angelic voice... don't contain that in the bathroom and "karawke"! It deserves better exposure. You and Bobby are invited to my church choir in Diamond Bar. I have a dear friend that once told me "this gift of music should not be wasted, rather offered back to Who gave you this talent". Jocelyn: stayed grounded, not a bit fazed by her beauty and brains. So spiritual, my role model.

I told one of you ladies that I mentioned to my other friends my years at St. Joseph/La Consolacion were one of the best years of my life. That one day with all of you re-lived it. Hopefully, there will be more additions in the years to come. And to those who didn't make it on Saturday, August 05th 2006, WE MISSED YOU!!!

Love,
Gertrude Ycu Tan
